This is me

My name is Katie and Dozy dOATs is my passion project. For as long as I can remember, creating in the kitchen has been one of my favorite ways to spend my time. After decades of sharing home-baked goods with friends, family, and coworkers and being told "you should have a a bakery!" I've decided to go for it! 

 

Dozy dOATS is a home bakery.  I have a cottage kitchen permit that allows me to bake and sell shelf-stable foods in Massachusetts.  I am a work in progress trying to learn how to run a home bakery while being a full time mom and physical therapist, but one of my mantras is "Everything is figure-outable" and here I am, figuring it out.

My goal is to use simple, quality ingredients to bake delicious breads and treats to share with my community. I also love exploring recipes to offer to people who are adhering to a gluten-free lifestyle, a vegan lifestyle, or are trying to limit consumption of refined sugars. What this means is that you will see a variety of goods at my table at farmer's markets and online as I am frequently inspired by new ingredients and techniques.
